Miscarriage without bleeding
Spontaneous abortion (SAB), or miscarriage, is the term used for a pregnancy that ends on it’s own, within the first 20 weeks of gestation.
Some people don’t have any symptoms and their miscarriage without bleeding may only be discovered in a routine scan.
Medicines will open your cervix and allow fetal tissue to pass out. You may be advised to swallow tablets or a pessary can be inserted directly into your vagina. The effects of the tablets usually begin within a few hours.
A miscarriage of this type usually happens without much warning. The cervix can open relatively painlessly and the baby may be passed with little blood evident beforehand.
